There are days when life feels heavier than it should — when your thoughts race, your chest tightens, and even simple tasks feel like climbing a mountain. You want to trust God, but your emotions feel louder than your faith.
If that’s where you are today, you’re not failing.
You’re human.
And God meets you right here.

“When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
— Psalm 61:2-
This verse isn’t a command to be stronger.
It’s an invitation to be led.
God doesn’t ask you to climb out of overwhelm on your own.
He lifts your chin.
He steadies your steps.
He becomes the Rock beneath your shaking feet.
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is pause — not to fix yourself, but to let God hold you.
Take a breath.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your heart soften.
You don’t have to have the answers.
You don’t have to feel strong.
You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.
You only have to let Him lead you to higher ground.
A Prayer for Today
Lord, when my heart feels overwhelmed, remind me that I don’t walk alone. Lead me to the place where Your peace steadies me and Your truth quiets my fears. Help me release what I cannot carry and rest in the safety of Your presence. Amen.
